Nice fish Kim, good to see you on here.

BTW are you sure that's not an Usk fish

Lovely fish but I wish anglers righly or wrongly would not hold fish at arms length to give the impression that they are bigger than they really are.

Arms length or close up - that's one cracking good fish! This time not from the Usk!

By the way - welcome Kim and a Happy New Year to you.

Agreed SB, a superb looking fish indeed.

How do you know he doesn't have short arms and giant hands?

Awesome fish and not much cover on that river either by the looks of it. I bet the fish are a tad spooky!

In general they're not. New Zealand is so big for the number of inhabitants that there is miles upon miles of water that hasn't been fished for years.

The fish are free rising and if you put a dry on their nose then they'll willingly take it.

And that's from experience

Wink Trophy New Zealand Brown

Well Thanks Guys and Happy New year!!

May take me a little time to get into this posting lark, try to spend more time in or around water if I can instead of in front of a screen if I can help it!!

Sewinbasher thanks for the defence of my 4lbs Usk trout photo, well we where proved right in the end thanks to Rhys Llewellyn of the tourist board and the EA officers in question (4lbs Usk Brown)

Just for the record somewhere South Island New Zealand, not Patagonia or Chile

Have a go at guessing what river?

I won’t confirm or deny, well not publicly, guides prerogative anyway it’s always sweeter if discovered by yourself, harder, takes longer but in the end sweeter
