Default Never Mind The Earn ......

Never mind the level of the River Earn on Saturday. This is my front door at 16.20 today with the 2 spaniels looking a bit puzzled at the window. Bill

It's an inadequate village flood relief system Jim. I'm at the bottom of the village near to the sea and this problem was actually "fixed" earlier this year, or it would have been much worse. This is the first time this has happened since the repair. Normally it would have flooded to a certain extent with less rain than we're getting now.

I've justed walked the dogs across the adjacent fields and there's drains bursting through the grass all over the place and the fields are swamped. It's just a huge amount of water coming off the hills compared with normal. I have about 2 inches left before I'll have to take the car out of the drive and move it up the village.

Bill
