Default feathers but not for fishing

Not strictly fishing but feathers and Christmas - I took this photo last Saturday morning in my garden with my Canon IXUS 700. It took me about an hour as I had to set up treats for the birds and then set up the camera on timer, maximum 30 seconds, and multi shots, maximum 10 shots. As I had to manually trigger the camera and dash back to the house, the birds only had 30 seconds to oblige. The robin eventually did. Bill

Nicely done Bill.
Sometimes you just get lucky, this one landed on my wing mirror. He was so close I had to use the macro setting!

well done, andy & bill.

i think we all must agree, what a radiant example the southern bird is,
compared to it's northern cousin....
the maggots and worms must be better down there as well.............

Great picture Andy. They're one of the more obliging birds for photography being naturally nosey and relativelly unafraid.

I don't thisnk it's the maggots and worms which are better down south, it's just that us tight Scots throw less away for the birds to eat.
