Default Personal Best (Brownie)

This was my best for the season (4lb,6oz) from Venachar from a bag of 6 on a club day out. A fast glass line with a team of Zulu on the point, Kate McLaren on the middle dropper and a Clan Cheif on the top dropper. This one took the Zulu along with another 3 and 1 each to the Clan cheif and the Kate. I also had a small pike on a goldheaded red-tag. I got soaked through but it was worth it!! The picture doesn`t do the fish justice as it was like a bar of gold when was netted.

Very nice fish, nothing like a wildie of that size, especially on the fly!

Congrats.

does the sea trout not have a more convex tail and top jaw extend beyond eye?(search revealed on characteristics of sea trout)I think trout lose a lot of colour when they are out water for a while and obviously dead!Nice fish whether trout or sea trout.

Thanks for all the replies lads, and the warm welcome. I`m 99.9% certain it was a brownie due to the colour of it when it was brought to the boat. It was a bar of gold. Before I got it to the surface my boat partner and I thought it might have been a sea-trout, it took a good 15 mins to subdue.

Minnin, I have just moved to Dreghorn in August. I`m right next to Greenwood. Maybe see you around. What club are you in if any.
