Couple of hours stalking produced two identical 3.5 lb fish today,lovely condition but not easy as it was "spot the fish day",stock levels seemed a little sparse to say the least-but the colours in the Plains trees made up for it!Autumn at her best.

Still very tempted to return to Avington after a long break of 5 years or so but at the same time am mindful of the problems they have experienced there, over this period, and again highlighted by the stocking policy shown here!

Nice shot but even nicer looking rainbow. Stalking looks amazin i'll need to give it a go one day.

Thanks Martin,it was a particularly good looking fish,full finned and not flabby-went like a train actually-goes to show stalking is not about looking for the biggest fish-just the nicest example you can find!

Two nice pics there sir...lovely looking r'bow and Avington itself looks a real picture. Been a while since I last went there....I feel a trip coming on.
