With a 9 # GLX there was only ever gonna be one winner!

It did however put a decent bend in the rod.

Lovely job.

Have you fished the north coast around the Camel much? I've done spinning at Carnweather and boat sandeels off Newland / Pentire. How does it fish on fly around there? I'm tempted to fish the Narrows, Hawkers / Harbour Cove as well as over by Carnweather point (bit limited), but need to grab a few hours at a time so need to make sure I'm not barking up the wrong tree. I'd love a steer if you've any recommendations.

Your talking North Coast and around a 50 min drive from me . I tend to stick to the South Coast. I do plan a couple of sessions in the Camel area sometime soon if this mild weather continues. Perhaps we can meet

Better to avoid mentioning locations. Unless you enjoy standing shoulder to shoulder with other anglers. PM's are better than open posts

Cheers
