a couple of photos from yesterday 28/10/06

8lb12oz what a runaround this fish gave me,you can see the orange blob it was taken on in the right hand of picture behind it's tail

and this was just after we came of the water for the last time this year

hi paul .drifting boat .drouge out the back(if needed) to slow drift.fishing over the front. redington cps 10'-7#wt.rio midge tip.3 flies on 15' leader,8lb sightfree. fish took orange blob(can be seen just below tail) on top dropper, medium fast retrieve.2fish took blob,1 fish took black cat (middle fly) 7or 8 fish had a serious go at the blob but turned away near the boat.hope that helps, point fly was a white cat,which is usually a banker but not on that day

drifting from about 10-12' to 2' very occasionally (summer)over deeper water.
then i would use di3-5-7 .midge tip (floater with 3'clear intermediate tip) is great for washing line technique,or fishing buzzers just subsurface.
