Default Another Fly

I tied this fly tonight. I had loads more wing materials tied in but i messed it up. This was the best i could do to fix it. It still looks ok.

It looks OK, apart from the head. Cromie, why do like to dress traditional slamon flies? I'm just curious...

Yeh i messed up the head alright. It fell apart on me and i had to start it again. So i just stuck them on. Well brennan i like to dress salmon flies because i like doing it, It good crack and it takes alot of paitence. If i did a better head on it. It would of been a cracker, The body is done ok and the proportions are ok.
3-5 turns of tinsel for the tag- I did 5
3- turns of ostrish herl
5- turns of rib.
I made the tail and wing length the same.
Im telling you i have loads more on for the head but i messed it up.
I had
Bronze mallard
Moltted Hen/turkey
Red goose
But, the more material you build up for the wing the harder it is to keep it on. I should of left it and finished it off tonight but i rushed it last night.

Good effort... plenty of varnish on the head would even it out a bit.
