Just had the first group of visitors arrive from the UK - (and on the ferry heading for the Island)- Second group is in the air as I type, and the last of the bunch will be here on Monday..............

I take it you are on Vancouver Island? My aunt and uncle live in Chemainus so I'm planning on taking advantage of their hospitality sometime to have a go at the fishing!
Was over a couple of years ago in July and did have a brief go on the Cowichan, although hot and sunny conditions made life difficult.....

So, off to the Island we went, Ferry over from Vancouver to Nanaimo and up route 19A first stop the Courtney Hatchery, had a quick look - grabbed my rod and had stacks of fun......................

Along came Monday, And you guessed it .............we went fishing again



Then everyone wanted to get in on the act, So first my 11 year old son goes and gets one



And not to be out done, SWMBO goes and nails a nice Coho to.

I think this is the prettiest fish I've had all week.
