Default River San July 09

Just thought I would share some picture of the wonderful river San in Poland. Just got back from there spent a week with Vladi Trezubunia.

Firstly thanks to Vladi for showing me the wonderful river and thanks to the guys I stayed with Andrea .

Me and the Mist, because the water is pretty cold most of the time the hot air temp causes this mist and the fish dont really like it, had about 50+ fish that day on nymphs and dries mist comes and they stop.

On my last day Vladi caught a trout we think was 66cm+ around about 7lbs but I was too far away to catch a picture of it. I then caught 2 fish with 1hr to go before the end of my trip and caught a fish of 56cm Brown Trout which I had my camera in movie mode and never got any picture and then went back and caught this fella 59cm over 5lbs in weight a stormer.

Another picture of the fish recovering, showing a better proportion of the width and depth of the fish, was great way to end my trip.

I will be possibly looking at some trips in the furture to Poland to fish the San to add to my Czech Rep Trips, details to follow, but Vladi will be there to help and fish/guide, cant get better than that a Previous World Champ and many medal Winner in the Worlds Also.

Rgds. Dave

Great blog I say. Also, seems to scotch the myth that Polish rivers are empty because all the fish have been eaten. Think I might look at booking a trip.

Was that a recce for running trips ?, if so, wouldn't mind a nudge near the time about prices and details etc.

Smashing troots and ladies there Daver. Well done. Shame about the tail on that big broony. River San looks the biz. I shall only dream. Would love to go over there one day.
