Default A Wet Day on the River Taff

I've posted this under the UK Rivers Updates/River Taff thread, but just thought I'd show you guys a window into a small stream trib of the river Taff.

A very wet day, but something so trivial as rain didn't stop the trout from feeding or us from having a great day on this small tributary.

In all my years fishing this trib, this is my first sighting of mayfly. A fantastic sign for this small stream! They didn't hatch in significant numbers, and the hatch (if you'd call it that) was confined to a fairly small area, but a great siting indeed!

God, I love fishing small streams!

Hi GL,

Good Idea! Here's a few more photos of our wet day's fishing on the Taff-streams!

There's a kind of magic about this beautiful area that even the rain and misty weather conditions cannot spoil!

The fish are wild and very fast!

Here's one of the young maestro, with a smile of happiness that even the persistent rain couldn't spoil!

A wet but wonderful day on the Taff Trib's!

Cheers Gareth.

Really nice stream, pretty trout and great photos. With Goretex all can be enjoyed in the rain!!

The Gortex was lacking (no Gortex clothing) but the rain didn't stop the fun of fishing on the Taff streams!

I'm just about to take up trout fishing (been saltwater flyfishing for nearly a couple of years) and I'm clueless as to where to start, but I live in Llantwit Fardre, so the Taff is my closest river. Which associations should I look at to be able to fish both the main river and beautiful tributaries like this one? Any advice welcome!
