A few from S. Uist, fishing mediocre due to northerlies but we managed to winkle out a few:

Beautiful fish Dunbar. Well done. Like the variations in colour in regards to the lochs thery came from. The first fish is an absolute picture. How could anyone hit a fish like that on the head?

Thank you for kind comments. Just to say that virtually all the fish we caught went back unharmed (as do pretty much all my fish), however we felt it was not innappropriate to take one or two on the last day for supper. I eat probably one trout a year and only if it's wild and from a sustainable stock (pretty looking or not). I really don't want this thread to get into the merits or otherwise of C&R.

You dont need to explain yourself Dunbar , taking one for the table(especially only one or two a year) is nowhere near damaging the stock . Hope you enjoyed it
