Ventured out on the lough today,conditions were not ideal flat calm and sunshine but had a great bit of sport landing a good few trout on dries.

Hi Colin,A lot of people either love or hate owel it can be very tough and inconsistent,however its fishing well at the moment and it's good as andrew said to see the wild fish stock coming back on it and hopefully people will return them as they are essential in the future of the lough
,but owel comes into its own in september when the fish are high on the water and on the daphnia and migrating snails ,brilliant craic,im off to lough derravaragh now for an evening competition,so that will be a tough nut to crack.
