the last one is the best pic I could get of a white spotted puffer fish, although it looked like a cuttlefish at first.

I reckon some of those would take to the fly.... unfortunately the red sea is (according to thr rep) a national park/reserve, you can't even feed the fish, but tis fairplay.

The hotel in Sharm that I stayed in last year always had GT's cruising up and down the reef drop-off - interestingly one had a hook left in its mouth.

Nice pics.

Not down in Saudi it's not. Reefs better than Egypt and GT, tuna and sailfish for the catching! Tourism opportunities a bit limited though!

Good effort. If you ever get the chance, dive the reef off the coast of Belize. It's the second biggest after the Great Barrier. Truly, truly amazing kaliedescope of colour and movement. It's relatively unspoilt too.

One of the GTs that I mentioned previously, apologies for the poor framing and blurriness - I was swimming like buggery after it with a disposable camera.

Love the way the gar is hidden in the surface layers.

nice pics Im going to egypt at the start of July. - looking forward to snorkelling!

I was wondering whether to bring the telescopic fly rod with me....

found this site which said shore fishing is allowed....

Anyone know what flies to use if I do bring it? Will do a bit of research to see where fishing is allowed from the shore!

EDIT: where im going fishing isnt allowed
