Default Nursling Salmon

This is a picture taken this afternoon on my phone of Donny Donovan who had just caught this beautiful Salmon from the little river at Nursling. He caught it on a weighted nymph using a 9'6 7# rod and estimated the fish to be about 10 -12lbs.
The fish was only lifted from the water for about two seconds and then safely returned. This is Donnys last week at Nursling and as he said - good way to finish!

Where's Donny off to Reg? Great to see such a perfect fish coming off the Test, not enough of them around!

Don't think he's got anywhere to go at the moment Darren. It is a sad reflection of the current hard nosed attitude towards making money and not giving a toss that even long serving river keepers are being shat on from a great height. He will be sadly missed by all who have had the pleasure of walking his treasured Nursling beat.
