There were 5 of us and were all enjoyed. We put plenty back this a excellant loch to fish with plenty of quality browns, these were taken on mayfly imitations.
i don't kill wild browns for the sake of it.

seeing as the 2012 season have kicked off on the welsh rivers i thought i'd post a couple of fish i caught on the Usk early season last year
they were two of the nicest trout ive caught on the dry

(p.s never posted photos, so wanted to try it out )

Nice fish.

One thing i've noticed with the handful of browns i've had so far, they are really well fed and not the usual kelt like fish you get in March.

Must be down to the mild winter.

I think you must be right Ryan

Here is a wild brown from yesterday, I was absolutely astounded when it tipped the scales at 2oz under 4lb bearing in mind it was 18 inches in length!!!!

Stunning looking fish and in mint condition for march,well done mayfly,is that a di5 on your sage.
