It's a survival knot.....the braided loop slid off and his his hands were so numb he couldn't even manage to tie on a fly let alone tackle anything more difficult!

Admittedly...it could be the hypothermic knot-I'm undecided

No we didnt catch, or see, any fish.

it is not my rod so cant answer knot selection

Bailey is a ladies drink we much prefer whisky....or Babycham !!!

spent a lot of the day in front of fire in bothy

yes it was cold but fantastic to be back on the river wetting our flies again and watching the local wildlife at work. we are very blessed to be so close to such a beautiful part of the world
