Default Frozen rod rings

Checked the weather last night (after all the gales) and to my surprise it was to be a mild day around 3 or 4 degrees with just a slight breeze, wind around 6mph, perfect, i'll give Swanswater a go then, the weather guy's aren't usually that far out.

Boy did they ever get it wrong

Got there to a couple of inches of snow, and mist, weather below zero, and a flat calm, not a perfect angling day

So back we are full cycle, at frozen rod rings, and matching frozen feet.

For the brave who ventured out and plugged away, it was however rewarding, and the fish were only too happy to oblige, one of the guys landed a nice 12lb 4oz rainbow.

Best regards
Jim

I can 'relate.' Have a totally delightful young fellow from Ireland spending the week (he's really into fishing, and pretty darned good with a 2-hander). Going to run him through the 'holes,' water flows, where the fish hold, yada-yada early this AM on the upper Rogue River ....and looked at one of my electronic temp gauges ..... -8C at the moment. For 'Muricans' reading that ... about 22 degrees out side ... and as you went higher up the river probably closer to 14 or 18 degrees.

"Ben, we'll have a few more cups of coffee (he Irish Tea) and wait a bit. Even the two Doggies gave me a 'Thank God' look.

Very nice young man and enjoying his 'Cocker Spaniel' 'Gotta get on the River!!!! company; at his age I was the same way?

Seriously, want to give this young Guy a hug; very-very neat young Man.
