ME AND THREE GOOD MATES, WENT OUT TO CASPE, SPAIN TO FISH THE RIVER EBRO, LAST WEEK FOR 3 DAYS, WERE WE HOOKED UP WITH CAT FISHING LEGEND AND GUIDE LEE CARPENTER. Fishing Holidays | Fishing Adventures | River Ebro, Spain | Predator Fishing | Catfish | Carp

BUT BOY WAS IT A HARD GRAFT LOL THESE BIG MONSTERS JUST KEPT COMING AND COMING. I LANDED 5 OF THEM AND LOST MANY MORE, I HAD 2 OVER THE 100LB AND 1 JUST UNDER. I ALSO MANAGED TO NET 4 BIG CARP BUT DROPPED LOADS MORE OF THEM.

THE BIG BAY WE WERE FISHING...


THE CATFISH SET UP..


MY BIGEST CATFISH 160LB...












GOT THIS BIG FAT BOY IN THE DARK HE CAME IN AT 140LB...


AND IT WAS A FU*KING ANIMAL...




THE CARP FISHING OUT THERE WAS INCREDIBLE LOADS OF FISH IN THE RIVER SYSTEM AND THE GUIDE HAD A FEW REPORTS OF 5 OR 6 BETWEEN 50LB & 60LB. NOW THATS MIND BLOWING. I NEVER HOOKED ANY BIG MAMAS MYSELF BUT LANDED A FEW BIG 20S

I PROBLY COULD HAVE DONE BETTER ON THE CARP BUT I JUST KEPT MISSING THE RUNS AND DROPPING THE FISH ON THE FIRST DAY, ONLY LANDING ONE CARP FOR THE WHOLE DAY LOL "DUFFER" BUT AS I GAINED CONFIDENCE WITH THE GEAR AND A BIT OF SUPPORT OF THE BOYS I STARTED HAVING MORE "LUCK".

I ONLY HAD THE ONE LITTLE "ZED" BUT SOME OF THE GUYS HAD A FEW AND TO GOOD SIZES AS WELL...


THE LAST DAY ON THE RIVER BUT WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE...



IF ANY THE BOYS: CAL, ALEC AND BIG GAZ READ THIS I HAD A AWESOME TIME FISHING WITH YOUZ GUYS IT WAS A TOTAL BUZZ...

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THIS GUIDE IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER USED FOR ANY KIND OF FISHING, HE IS REALLY HARD WORKING AND HE DOSE NOT SKIMP ON ANYTHING, YOUR FISH ARE HIS FISH HES A STAR.

superb fish Wilkie,nice report ,great fighters ,did you fish out to the old river bed around 150/200 yds out ??that place is like a bloody aquarium

Wilkie ,i fished lake Caspe a few years ago ,a few mates and myself went on our own and we out fished catfish capers tour guides looks like you fished from the same bank as us ,we also tried the Ebro and Segre in Mequinenza town and above ,heres some pics from our do there we had over 80 cats out and god knows how many carp

Aye bruce, Three of the rods were set at 180 yards but the one that most of the big fish came off, was set at nearly 300 yards and that was the one I got my 160 on just my luck to it took the ball beaker lol...

My biggest was mesured 2m 17 long mate a real monster and when the guide first got a hold of it he said don't be surprised if this one hits the 180 mark as it was so wide across the head.

if someone wants to feel real raw power from a fish ,they should try catfishing them big tadpoles are like popeye on steroids ,i fish for barbel and theyre powerful for there size, but fook me my biggest nearly had me in i shat myself as i cant swim , so i sat down to play it for rest of the fight , by the way my mate had an albino on that hit the surface and we estimated it at close to 200 as it dwarfed my fish but as it surfaced again it rolled and tail slapped and smashed through the 100lb braid that was one hell of a fish

One of the highlights of the trip was having all the other anglers along the bank shouting , FISH ON!!! including Ze Germans and the Dutch boys, some laugh

Aye cal, they foreign boys were spot on alright and it was a pure blast when we heard them all over the bank, squealing "feesh on" even Lee was buckled.
