There were a few on our place yesterday Wullie. Not a big fall by any means and quite localised...but good to see them about all the same.... Have you got any tasty red leg patterns.Mine are basically black hoppers with orange legs and a bit of added pearl for the wings.

Good to see Mr Bibio out and about. Up in Brenig next weekend; a place that always fishes well during a heather fly fall. Nice one Jimmy.

Was fishing three Jimmy,a bibio with orange legs and red and black hackles trimmed, top dropper,a yellow owl in the middle, and the one on the point had a pearly rib, orange legs wi a wee coastal deerhair wing, they all picked out the top dropper.

Don't think I've seen one of your hoppers Jim. Any chance of posting a pic?

Cracking photo too.

Cheers Mike....let me tie some fresh ones first. The ones in my box all look as if they've been through a washing machine cycle....

I usually fish a pair.....a chunkier, high floating one on the dropper and a slimmer clipped low rider on the point. The fish sometimes show a marked preference for one over the other so I like to give them a choice of profiles.
