Took a couple of photos on the 4am- 9am session on the Lake of Menteith 2nd july







and then the sun rose



9 fish to the boat all returned.

Flat calm and bright sunshine! I would say 9 fish were obliging! Unless im missing something

Was not a criticism ,any fish caught are always a welcome bonus , the morning sessions on the lake the last few years have produced bumper catches even when the sun is out, anyroads I was just jealous it was'nt me out there .

Started out on dries,but they were not having it.Then tried washing line with size 12 diawl bachs.worked a bit,by casting at rising fish.Then with the sun up,we went onto straight line diawl bachs.this worked with very slow retreive.
9 Fish was a good bag on this morning session.
