Smile River Carron tonight

Hi Guys

Fished the River Carron this afternoon/evening armed with 7' 3wt Shaky Odssey and Hardy Flyweight............

Great sport ! Lost 7 fish, netted 10 and missed a pull !

9" is the kill limit, i had three fish over this limit (all returned)

Heres the best of them breathing taking fight on the 7' 3wt in a narrow deep run with trees all around ! Finally netted , photographed and safety released

Heres another of the same fish.......................which took a size 14 wet march brown !

Anyone else been having good sport off the Carron ??

Nice fish Steve. I stopped at denovan road just under the m876 the other night, nice wee runs and not a fish seen!, there were loads of flies coming off the water too.
I usually see lots of rises at that bit as well ,is the water still too cold?

Pete
