First trip of 2011 to Loch Bhac for the pair of us. Kind of got away with it weather-wise. Cool and heavy showers, but less wind than we might well have got.

Good sport at the head of the wind with dries, changing rods to intermediates and damsels as we got down to the breezier bottom half. Lots of wee wild brownies on the go, as well as the stocked rainbows.
Missed a superb chance to get either some stills or even a video of an osprey diving for a fish right in front of us... just when we had stopped to have a barbie and the camera was in the hut. Doh

I can recommend yer man's home made spicy chicken

Yer tea's oot!
Did get a chance to get a shot of a single black-throated diver that was on the water and not at all bothered by our presence. However, my best chance was when I had only the 135 mm lens on, and as I tried to get close enough he/she just kept its distance from us. A bit of acceleration to improve things and... it ducked under. Oh well... here's the best shot with the 135 mm lens, cropped and cropped and then cropped again - er, that'll be 100% then.
Split second later the fish made a last bid for freedom and the autofocus switched from the fish to the water it threw up!

Action shots with a Canon 135 mm f2. The rest with a Tamron 18-270 mm.
