Default Ullswater today, sublime.

Had a fantastic day on the lake today, needed it to remind me just how lucky I am to have this on my doorstep.
Took my friends recently built 22 footer out, for it's second outing and it performed admirably.

Picked up a few of these little gems, fought like troopers, they always do, 6 in total.

Not enough wind today, and had to chase it around, but the views, and just being on the lake was a dream, even though the bright sun didn't help.
Anyone recognise this million pound plus shack, for those of you saddos that watch Coronation Street, it has been used in the series, and one or two other TV programmes, setting to die for.

Great pics Steven - nice boat too, looks real quality. Caught some similar fish this evening but my setting was……Accrington!

You are indeed a lucky man Steven! Were you in the boat alone? It looks quite a walk to the stern but I suppose if there was little wind it wasn't that often you needed to get out of your seat.

No I was with the boats owner P, he did all the clever stuff, I just sat at the pointy end and fished.
Kelly kettle of fresh tea at lunchtime, and quite sunburnt when I got back.
It's a hard life, Buttermere next week, then back on Ullswater.

Looks like you were short on a wicker picnic basket and butler.
