Default A spot of grayling fishing?

.....or perhaps not.

Plenty of fish still to be had there. Just need more tungsten to get through the ice.

That is incredible Mat.

Some of my local streams have ice on them, and I fished some chalkstream carriers this week where the slower water had frozen - but a river that size and covered is remarkable

We're just back today from Christmas with the in-laws in York and I was amazed to see the Ouse like that! I'd had half a mind to take a rod with me and have a go at the chub on the free stretch at Rawcliffe, but didn't bother in the end. Just as well really.

if your wanting some reasonable roach fishing , in the last pic on the left where the wall ends, beyond that there is a walkway about 6ft above the river ,link ledgered or trotted bread has accounted for quite a lot of roach for me there and its free....

Incredible photos! I was actually fishing the day you posted yours Matt, thankfully in water which wasn't solid. Thaw started here today - been raining/sleeting. My car was covered with thick frost/ice all day yesterday, then it melted overnight as the temps got above freezing for first time in ages. You usually wake up to a frozen car in the morning, not a de-frosted one, weird!
