Haha yes it is a lithium ion battery pack specific to the camera. But that would be funny if this whole time it just used AA batteries.

Aye, well, the more I think about it, the more I think the guy is having a laugh, selling a camera without either the means to power it, or a warning to that effect.

Have you asked him where the charger is?

Makes you wonder how the vendor acquired the camera in the first place.

After looking at his profile some more I suspect he may be a pawnbroker or something to that extent since he is selling a bunch of random things. Hopefully not a thief.

I haven't heard back from the last message I sent. I was thinking about asking him how he charged it but I wrote a bunch of other things as well and decided not to make it any longer.

Actually after looking at his feedback again I realized that he sold a bunch of used digital cameras in the past month. He also seems to be selling a lot of other small electronics. Hmmm pretty suspicious. I really hope this camera wasn't stolen. I hate thieves and I hate the idea of owning something that belongs to someone else.

the best thing to do before buying or biding is to ask questions
if he/she is genuine he will answer, if he dosent dont bother with him/her

Thank you for all the advice. I just left negative feedback and purchased a charger. Should I open a case with Ebay or does it not matter? The seller stopped communicating with me on the matter which is why I gave up on it.
