What model Vivicam do you have?

Does it have a macro / close focus facility?

To upload your images here your pictures need first to be uploaded to a 'host' website such as Photobucket. The host site allocates an image URL to your picture that can then be copied & pasted into the forum thread.

Macro is a function on a camera that allows you to take closeup pictures.
There could be a function or button on the camera with a flower image.
Enjoy your camera

I've tried looking at the 'spec' of your camera but can't see that it has a 'close up' facility.

This, for example is a TMC100 Size 20 with 10 turns of 14/0 thread, taken with a macro lens.

Neither can I find out what the minimum focus distance is.

You'll probably not be able to get any closer to the fly than a couple of feet or so with the result that the 'fly' will only be very small part of the image area.

Don't actually need to bother with Photobucket or Flickr. Just start a gallery on the forum, then upload your photos to it. Then when you make a post, use the wee do-hicky bottom right where is says "[Insert photo from your gallery]"

Just about any modern digicam can take photos focusing to within 1 or 2 cm from the subject, so should be able to do flies no probs. you could do a lot worse than read the instruction manual.

As already mentioned, if all else fails you could read all that pish what Rob and me posted. You passed it on the way here.
