Default 18% Grey backdrop 70cm x 140cm

Purchased this little kit, but require an 18% Grey backdrop to go with it.
Size measures 70cm width x 140cm long.
The original four backdrops that come with the kit purchased here:
80x80cm Photo Studio foldable tent softbox +4 backdrops | eBay

all have Velcro attachments to allow simple fixing to the tent.

Any ideas where I can purchase, cheaply, an 18% Grey backdrop 70cm x 140cm with Velcro too, if possible.

I'm no photography guru, but, I find them very good, just stick a couple of lamps either side until you find the correct lighting position that suits your subject matter.
Point I will make about the backdrops is they come folded so they fit within the small carry bag that holds the tent.
In a word they crease big time.
The way round this is to obtain small diameter drain pipe from B & Q or such like, then wrap the backdrops around the drain pipe, then cut any old plastic rod tube you have to length and slide the small diameter drainage pipe which the backdrops have been wrapped around, once ironed of course, into the larger diameter rod tube.
Keeps things dust and crease free.

Plenty available from online photographic stores, Paul. Reckon you'll have to get up early to find one that big though.

How about matching up some mounting board for colour?

Cheers Rob, I'll have a gander at that.
Rob, I can't seem to find an 18% backdrop or background my size, as all online stuff is way too big, and comes with a hefty price tag too; in most cases twice the cost of my original light cube and backdrops.
Some musilin, some cotton and serious yardage.
I may register on one of the photography forums and see if I can beg an off-cut and velcro-up myself.Being a cheapstake.

I have one of these and thought at first it was great but you need to be careful if your continually folding it back up and putting it away.
as mine is starting to rip apart and is also going out of shape.
Had mine just short of 2 years.

I reckon if space permits leaving it open would be better option.
unfolding it for the very first time is a bit interesting i about took my nose off as it suddenly sprung open.

I have a Jessops grey card, which is 25 x 20 cm. I took it along to my local arts 'n crafts shop and held it up to their picture framing mount boards until I found one that was pretty close. It is 83 x 60 cm if that size will do? If so, you can get sticky-back Velcro strip from B&Q - put some on each corner...

70 x 140 cm is a fair old size for the back of a light tent. Are you sleeping in it?

The backdrop sits on the base and back of the tent, so looks smaller when in place. Below is an example of a well creased black backdrop in place. A good example of a bad example

Ah, with you now... needs to double as a ground sheet

So, a single sheet of mounting board will be no use for the job. Looks like what you want is an 'infinity board'. I got a set of these in black, white and grey for a good price off eBay some years ago. Good for doing product shots. No creases, no corners. Had a butchers for them just now. Not easy to find - some black ones and white ones in the US....

Black infinity board

For big awkward things I made a couple of infinity boards. The white one is just a sheet of Melamine-backed hardboard from B&Q. For the grey one we bought a sheet of hardboard and painted it with grey spray paint. You bend the board and hold the back edge up with those big spring clamps (also B&Q).

Here's a few examples...

black... black.... black! Your eyes... are lies. My eyes... are pies

Rods are a pain. Close-ups of detail are easy enough, but I always try to get at least one with the whole rod in the shot. If it is a 10 ft 2 piece with no tube, that makes for a rather long thin image
