Just thought I include an update here to highlight some of the fishing that is available in New York! I have had to add this because even I am so surprised by the fishing that is on offer here...
The tributaries in northern NYS see an influx of migratory fish during the fall months of October/November as they return to spawn. The winner of the Wychwood competition will be lucky enough to be hitting the river bang slap in the middle of this migration. Tackling three different species of Salmon - Atlantic, Coho and the mighty Chinook! Huge Steelheads and what can only be described as prehistoric browns - with record catching weighing in at nearly thirty-three pounds - yes 33lb!!!
