Only if you consider £50 off the RRP of a £500 rod a bargain. Why are tackle dealers surprised when people buy from ebay etc rather than their over inflated prices? If you are going to have a sale to clear stock then have one, don't just put tackle at prices that you would normally sell at anyway and call it a sale. I'm all for helping local tackle shops etc but they have to help themselves to drum up trade when times are tough...

I don't think many tackle firms bought a lot of stock last year, so there isn't much for the sales.

Having said that, I tried to order a few items on that Sportfish list and they are sold out. The list however, has not been amended to reflect this.

Yeah I have heard that too rrw35. It makes sense for tackle shops to tighten up on stock but have they thought that people might buy extra (non sale) things if they can attract the customer throught the door? Everyone is looking for a bargain these days so if you can find something 50 or 100 quid cheaper on ebay for example then no way would you get it from the local shop or shop that does does a bit of online selling. Except those who can afford to buy things at over inflated prices...
