Cracking idea, but at $28 I think I might just make my own from a few bits and bobs... I've an idea to use a rubber O ring with a pull tab from an old bike pump mount to avoid the clip wearing the cork (I thought that too when I saw the video).

May not be as light though

So they're much the same as this then 220777164760, £2.50 on ebay. I usually take a bankstick with me to rest the spare rod on.

Hi all, thank you for the comments on my product. The clip will not damage the cork handle as it can be adjusted to fit your rod. It also has rounded ends to avoid marking the cork. I appreciate it's not for everyone, but I'm a bit anal about keeping my gear clean and free of scratches. As for price at $19 each, it's comparable to a lot of other gear out there. If anyone wants to test the device, I can send a couple out to forum members in exchange for an honest review, is that fair?

Many thanks to all. Al

I love the idea! My club waters bank is rough, eats up fly reels, I'd be happy to test one out for you.

Thanks to those who have offered a fair review in exchange for a sample.
I can offer a sample to the next two forum members who contact me.
Cheers and Happy New Year!
