Should the title of this thread not be "Fewer broken Fly rods with Fly Rod Saver" I cannot see how it stops rods breaking when in use!

Agree!!!
Can't understand why any one would want to cart this unnecessary accessory around with them. Oh, and of course, at a "fly fishing" price! Ah, maybe there IS a reason

Hi', Red Rooster. I get your point, but I rarely carry two rods while fly fishing on rivers. I try to travel light. If I needed a rod rest for a second rod, I have a penknife, there are usually plenty bits of branch or twigs on the banks of our rivers, flood rubbish, and they are freebies. When the Himalayan balsam gets going, there is always that greenery available, its only useful purpose. The average fly fisher just loves to spend money on gadgets, necessary or not. Jada

Hi Mancfly,
I respect your view, though don't agree with your comment about it being unnecessary, I understand the product is not for everyone. As for the price. I researched the market as best I could and tried to balance a desire to recoup the many thousands of $'s this has cost me so far, with a sensible price. Even so it will literally take me years to 'get my money back' as I am just a regular guy like you who loves fly fishing and not a big company. Still thank you for your comments, far better than being ignored :-)

I think its a great bit of kit, well thought out and well made.

Totally necessary when you have a fishing friend like I do who's like big foot!

The rods not in use that's the whole point of the thing.

It weighs next to nothing and is small enough to fit in any tackle bag,you can also hang it off your waistcoat or belt if you so wish

Anyway mine showed up today so many thanks Al.I'm hoping to get out fishing at the weekend so will write up a review as soon as I've tested it for you

Neil
