coincidentally i stayed here last weekend. Its not a bad spot, good value and right on the shore of Lough Ennell.

I got a boat on Lilliput Boats - which are excellent, well maintained boats. I fished the lough hard for about 8 hours - and blanked spectacularly
I was fishing for pike - and didn't see a fish - but thats fishing....

Ennell is my local pond and it can be a tough venue but given the right times it can be brilliant and you will not catch a more beautiful and hard fighting wild trout anywhere else,they really are a spectacular deep bodied and beautifully marked fish.I will spend the next two days on it as it is closed for trout fishing on thursday.Any forum members who wish to fish it next year i will happily bring them out in my boat on the lough free of charge of course.

I may have to take you up on that kind offer Grasshopper! It certainly is a nice water, even if the fish weren't very obliging on my visit.
