DERWENT RESERVOIR produced a fine trio of double-figure rainbow trout this week despite the hard fishing conditions.

Top of the bill was Ralph Hymers from Consett, who landed a cracking 17lb 11oz rainbow caught on a Black Winged Cats Whisker at the Meadow.

Grant Hughes caught one of 16lb 9oz, also from the Meadow, on a Consett Budgie.

It took two anglers to reel in the third double, with Oliver Brown and Fraser Neil from Shotley Bridge taking turns to land a rainbow of 10lb on Pink Powerbait.
