Hi David, I had a few days on Currane two weeks ago. Unfortunately the water was really low and a fairly strong ,gusty wind threw up some sizeable rollers. We didn't do too badly considering the conditions, probably a dozen fish between one and two pounds plus numerous smaller fish. Even discovered a couple of 'new' rocks

Some of the usual suspects did the damage...JC Bibio, RA Green Peter, Golden Olive Bumble.

Info on here is usually reliable Fishery Reports

Best of luck

I had a few days there last week. Few nice fish in the 1 to 2 lb mark on Monday and Tuesday but was blown off the lough on Wednesday. RA Green Peter was the most productive fly for us and we were fishing slow inter lines.
Lack of water won't be an issue given the rain over the last few days.

Regards,

Sooty Olive

Fished Currane 5th - 7th July, lots of 'juners' around the pound mark, lovely fresh wee fish and fought like demons. Tuesday was horrendous weather, gales and rain but didn't bother the fish too much. I got comprehensively wrecked by a very large seatrout behind Grassy Island. I'd been trying out dropper rollers and suspect that was the reason for the breakage
