Please be sure to secure your boat properly. My boat was stolen from Luimnagh pier in Ballindiff Bay sometime since Easter Saturday. Its a Burke Boats Angler Fancy 19ft light grey with a red stripe and is named Giz. It has some smoke damage staining inside and out. If you see or hear anything about this boat please ring me on 087 659 1790. As importantly make sure your boat is chained up securely. Hopefully this isn't the start of a series of thefts as we saw with outboards. Can anyone tell me how to get a photo from my hard drive to here?

Thanks Paul

Sorry to hear about your boat Paul.

I take it you want to put a picture up of it? Follow this link which gives you instructions to post pictures. I'll also PM you my email address, so if you're struggling (it can be a bit of pain to understand at first), then you can email me the picture and I'll put it up for you.

Shocking to hear of a boat being taken.
These are scumbags of the highest order!. I’ll keep an eye out, but it’s not likely to be on Corrib. I heard of a guy’s boat gone missing in Birchall a couple of weeks ago..
It’s not unheard for boats to be set adrift on Corrib, especially if someones spot is taken..

Not your boat unfortunately, but there is one on the rocks on the south end of Rabbit Island. No idea how it got there, but it has a couple of holes in it.

Best of luck.
JJ

Hi Paul - sorry to hear about your boat - you must be fuming - my friend had an engine stolen last year and had absolutely no joy in getting it back - probably out of the country before he even knew about it - but fingers crossed for you - f**king scumbags - and even if they are caught you know they will only get a slap on the wrist

Does anybody know if boats can be hired near Annaghdown? I dont know the lake well enough to travel down that far. It would make more sense for me to hire one there.
Sorry to hear about your boat , I hope it turns up soon.
