Default Kings River, Co. Wicklow, Ireland

Just had the pleasure of going back to fish this River last week. Would highly recommend anyone heading over this direction to give it a look. Here's my blog post on it, for anyone who might be interested:

Is that the one near the River Nore?... fished there years ago.... was in flood n very coloured up unfortunately on my trip...

No. The one your thinking of is the Kings River in Kilkenny. This one is in Wicklow. Have seen some fabulous pictures of the Kilkenny Kings recently though and have it on my to-do list before the end of the season.

My late Father-in-Law was from Kilkenney and grew up fishing both the Kings and Nore (lucky sod)
According to him the fish from the Kings river were much better eating than those from the Nore
