Lucky you a lovely place to fish, I expect you have been in touch with Newport house, if not I have a number for them ,fished them as a young fella ,with all the rain there at the weekend they should be stuffed. PJ

Don't neglect the beach up at the north end of Feeagh, particularly the drop-offs around the river mouths. Zoom in on Google Earth or Google Maps and you'll see why

Wish I'd had Google Earth 20 years ago, I had to find it out the hard way

Oh, and you MUST have a Green Peter on the top dropper

Just back from fishing lough furnace landed 3 salmon 3lb,4.5lb,7.2lb and lost count of all the small sea trout.loads of salmon showing after the heavy rainfall from earlier in the week.Plenty of fish landed by all the other boats that were out while we were there also. Most fish taken on green peters, orange cascades and silver/blue cascades, black and silver daddies also.Did not get to fish Feeagh, but heard good reports from the newport river also.Hope to get back up in september.
Tightlines C.K.
