just to let you know folks i've just come back from my summer cuban fishing trip. whilst there i fished with a few different guides, met up with several reps, met tons of locals and even the military people. i asked them all about the rumours to ban ban diy fishing and they all told me it was all boll0x. the guides and reps were saying that some companies (like avalon) were trying to create a monopoly there and were just scare mongering

so peoples don't rule out cuba just yet. despite the heat there now, it's fishing really very well at the minute
