Looking to go fly fishing in bulgaira this year around Bansko near the Ria Mountains
Any one been their and suggest good places etc

Also looking at Northern Portugal been told around Arcos de Valdevez is good small rivers etc

you fish on weekends only for brown trout in Bulgaria. there are several small brown trout rivers around this area. The fish are few but the scenary is nice. Wet fly, nymphs and drys are Ok. Other option is to try the high mountaine lakes in Pirin. They are spread all over the mountaine and you have to walk from a 45min to a 3,5 hours climbing. Good luck!

I was told that you can not fish the Lakes in the prinn park Mountans as you need to have a licence this is correct
Again some one else has said you can fish the lakes and rivers in the prinn mountains but only at the week-end
do you know which is correct
As you are in sofia have you fished then in Bansko, any help where to fish their would be great as going with a friend for teh Jazz Fesv

As far as I know its enough to have one licence for foreign person to fish both rivers and lakes. You can buy a licence from a local shop usualy the shortest period is valid for a week of fishing I think. All trout fishing is allowed in the weekends only. What time of the year is the Jazz Fest ?
