Finally after a wet summer and many high waters the Soca is flowing perfect and gin clear. Last week we spent a day fishing on the river and it was so beautiful I had to share some of the photos and fish we caught. With only 1 week of fishing left lets hope next year is as good.

These are from the Tolmin club waters. We started at Kamno near where we live and finished up near Bovec. But the Insitute section is just as beautiful.

Been there in August, hooked a big fish just under the Kamno bridge. Here is my car on the photo parked infront of the bridge before to start the fishing session. Im planning to visit Slovenia in April , if Soca is in good shape will come to fish there again.

HI Alex, nice pics. We know the bridge well as we live in Kamno. There are some big fish here either side of it but there are always fishermen looking frustrated as they can see them but not catch them, so well done. April is a really good time to fish we think the best weeks are either end of the season. If i see your car i will say hello!

Thanks, actually I was frustrated to an extent too, because I hooked the big fish /it was the biggest I ever hooked in my modest 18 seasons flyfishing so far/ but after 10 minutes fight I lost it. There were people watching above me on the bridge, I remember someone was making photos of the fight. If you see someone next April on Soca with a funy look , chest pack , old boo rod or a longer carbon rod - its me On a more serious note , Ill tell you when Im coming, we may fish together if you dont mind
