Guatemala fly fishing at its BEST!!!
Moran-Hepburn party fished aboard the Rum Line - with Capt. Chris Sheeder is seeing gobs of sails.
17 Oct - first day, the sails were all around the boat - raising 21, hooking 8 and releasing 3 on flies.
18 Oct - second day, a repeat of first day again the sails were everywhere, raised 22, hooking 8 and released 3 on flies. Then a blue appeared - hooked and released a 325# on a fly.
19 Oct - third day, even more fish - raised 24, hooked 9, nothing brought to the boat!19 Oct - third day, even more fish - raised 24, hooked 9, nothing brought to the boat!
20 Oct - fourth day - a bonanza of billfish!!! Raised 42, hooked 11 and released 5. Raised 3 blues, hooked and released a beautiful 225# fish.
21 Oct - fifth and final day -raised 12, had two bites - no releases. Raised 2 more blues and 1 released.
Total count: 121 raised, 36 hooked and 11 released sailfish AND 6 blues raised, 4 hooked and 3 released
