Default recommend a book on entomology
can anyone recommend a good book on Entomology for the uk & maybe a pocket guide i can carry with me for reference.
also a book or guide for uk game species.

An Anglers Entymology by Harris in Collins New naturalists series try and get an early edition usually available on ABE books.
Then cross reference with Trout Fly Recognition by John Goddard in A&C Black

For Fly Fishing this book is quite good.

Matching the Hatch, by Pat O'Reilly - signed copies on special offer

There is also a smaller pocket book version.

John Goddards Waterside Guide is a good choice. Coch-y bonddu books or Amazon.

Matching the Hatch is very good as is the " Pocket guide to Matching the hatch" by Peter Lapsley and Cyrill Bennett
