Default Mayfly difference

Fished Powdermill (Sedlescombe) today and was surprised by the amount of Mayflies hatching but noted that the mayflies there seem smaller and darker than the ones I get on my club lake in Kent.
I know there are 2 types of mayfly but was wondering which type I saw at Powdermills today.

They could have been the more brown E. vulgata species.

This diagram and the linked thread will help.

Actually there are three British Mayfly species, but E. lineata, although very pretty, is restricted to a tiny part of Berkshire.

I fish Powdermill and the ones I've caught have been E. danica. This is my favourite Powdermill spinner shot which many here have seen lots of times before:

Thanks for that info.
So do you carry different patterns to cover both types of mayfly?
I caught yesterday on a Grey Wulff with a Golen olive hackle which is what I use in Kent and was wondering if one with a darker hackle would of worked.
I also had a Roach of about 2lb on the Grey Wulff which was a bonus as I have never had Roach on a fly before.
