Default Name this caddis! (Deux)

Okay, this one from today. Length nearer to 15mm this time. Lovely green abdomen.

Trust me, it's very much alive. In order to photograph them, though, you've got to chill them down so they stay still.

The 'Peters' are Genus Agrypnia. If the speckled wing had more brown in it I would have said either A. obsoseta or the Speckled Peter A. varia.

Thanks for that Ephemerella. I couldn't find anything in Goddard's Waterside Guide or my FSC guide. Are they common?

I think so. If it's of any help; some references had them as Genus Phryganea before recent re-classification. Both species I listed are in Harris old "An Angler's Entomology" under that name.

He was Dublin University based.

Got it. My FSC guide has Agrypnia varia and Agrypnia pagetana. Definitely not the first of those but might be the second...

My suggestion would be Limnephilus rhombicus (one of the Cinnamon Sedges); but I've been wrong already this weekend
