Default Menteith stomach contents

Had a good day on the dries at Menteith on Sunday. Plenty black gnats on the water, plus a scattering of heather flies. Much easier to fish heather fly imitations out in the wave, rather than wee gnats. I chapped one fish for the table and had a look at what it had been on. The spoon brought up a couple of shield bugs, a couple of gnats and some other scrot...

Never saw any shieldies out on the water - except for one that came past my right ear and just about made me cak myself

When I was gutting the fish I had a look further down and here's the results...
