Default Pale evening dun or small spurwing

Pics not great but what do you think this is,
body about 7-8mm, couldnt see any hindwings although the spurwing does have them but difficult to see

Did you check with a lens as there very small and difficult to see with the naked eye?

Never had a lens with me, was just trying to take some photos before they flew off, will take one out tomorrow though.

"Pale evening dun or small spurwing?" Hmm... images are so poor it's impossible to tell. Forewing leading edge paired or single inercallery veins would be another identification point. Not sure of your location but I would suggest: 'female pale watery dun' as a credible alternative if 'quinag' is more in the south.

I will take a stab its a spurwing looks very like the ones we have on the Tees

was on a different stretch of river last night and none of these flies were evident, but these big fellows were about, large green duns. never seen them on our river before
