YOOK THIS PICTURE LAST YEAR UP ON LOCH HORRISDALE, IT IS BY THE LARGEST DRAGONFLY I HAVE EVER SEEN ABOUT 6IN IN LENTH, SO DOES THIS SPECIES HAVE A SPECIFIC NAME, THANKSClick the image to open in full size. SORRY FOR SUCH SMALL PIC

The nymphs must be quite a sight.
Don't know what it's called but I'm sure Fishtales will turn up soon and tell us.

These big guys are very common in the north west of Scotland.
