Default Why it is called fishing and not called Catching Fish

Had a great day on Saturday at Weston Park, and the lake a bit further down the road than the one on the map above. It was a great day, however none in our party managed to catch anything, but still a great day out.

I think the trout here are wise to the fact that the river season is over and a lot of them seem to have moved into the small river which is available to fish (during season) as we spotted a good number of them relaxing in the river without a care in the world.... Of course that is going to change when the river season starts again!

Nice series of lakes situated along the same main road from Albury through to Chilworth.
Vale End,the second seris of lakes along the main road were fishing very well a few weeks ago(October 2010).
Usually damsels, cats, nomads etc will get some attention, buzzers are also a good bet and if things are hard, egg flies are worth a chuck.

Fished this venue a few times and I've never left empty handed. For a two fish day ticked I think £29 is a little over priced. However the water is crystal clear and you can actively stalk your fish. I've had most success on buzzers.

This is really my local when I'm after trout.
