Yes. I have had both your opinions first hand, thanks

What I need now is someone who actually HAS fished it recently

I fished it about 2 weeks ago in the hot weather and it was very tough. I only had one fish, fishing slow with buzzers and a goldhead on the point. Took the fish on a black buzzer, a nice fish of 4lbs 4oz.

Most people that day were blanking or getting 1, and not many had 2.

Hopefully it'll improve soon.

What are your theories to why it's fishing poorly guys?

James and Phil believe the stocking levels are low.

Whenever I have fished it there have been plenty of fish about - I qualified for the Lexus final from there last year. Blobs pulled near the top, has typically been the method, in spite of all the hype about "a superb top of the water sport" venue - yeah, if it's an orange booby.

That's annoying if that is the case. I fished Eyebrook in early May and it was incredible. Loads of people were bagging up, i was a bit unlucky and lost a couple but still managed to boat 3. It was overcast, rainy and the water was boiling all over the place with the fish on buzzers just below the surface. 'top of the water sport' it most definitely was that day.

But last time i went a couple of weeks ago it was dead. We weren't even seeing many fish, let alone catching them.

If its down to low stocking levels then that is very disappointing. Its surely losing them a lot of business as a result.

I've copied this from the Eyebrook website:

'the fishing has proved very challenging indeed, to the point of impossible, but a few telltale signs are showing that the fishing is set to improve.'

Any ideas what these telltale signs might be? Perhaps they're going to stock it?
